Jesus antwortete ihnen: Ich bin das Brot des Lebens; wer zu mir kommt, wird nie mehr hungern, und wer an mich glaubt, wird nie mehr Durst haben. Aber ich habe euch gesagt: Ihr habt gesehen und doch glaubt ihr nicht. Alles, was der Vater mir gibt, wird zu mir kommen, und wer zu mir kommt, den werde ich nicht abweisen; denn ich bin nicht vom Himmel herabgekommen, um meinen Willen zu tun, sondern den Willen dessen, der mich gesandt hat. Das aber ist der Wille dessen, der mich gesandt hat, dass ich keinen von denen, die er mir gegeben hat, zugrunde gehen lasse, sondern dass ich sie auferwecke am Jüngsten Tag. Denn das ist der Wille meines Vaters, dass jeder, der den Sohn sieht und an ihn glaubt, das ewige Leben hat und dass ich ihn auferwecke am Jüngsten Tag.

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. But I told you that although you have seen (me), you do not believe. Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me. And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, but that I should raise it (on) the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him (on) the last day."
